Opis

In August 1975, thirteen-year-old Barbara Van Laar, the daughter of the camp's wealthy owners, disappears from a camp in the Adirondack Mountains. Fourteen years earlier, her older brother disappeared without a trace in the same place. As camp staff and police search for her, a web of family secrets, unfulfilled expectations, class tensions, and tragedies that everyone keeps quiet about slowly unravels. The Forest God is both a psychological thriller and a social drama. It is a story of disappearance with a double timeline, which becomes a tale of the relationships between the rich and the poor, parents and children, defenders and observers.
